the Rotring 600 was my first "real" mechanical pen. and, god, it was beautiful. real quick, i am gonna assume you have my read my review on an abundance of katherines, alongside the rest of john green's masterful bibliography.

i initally got into stationery after talking to a friend of mine who was also really into it. they recommended me mechanical pencils, and i also did individual research. i eventually concluded i wanted a Rotring. the Rotring 600 seemed to be the classic model, which i assumed would be what i wanted.

i eventually bought the Rotring 600 on amazon. nothing graceful there. it is impossible to find physical places that sell the good stuff, i've tried. she eventually came to my doorstep, and she was beauiful and a deep, dark blue. she made me realize stationery is SERIOUS.

then i dropped her. her nib broke. i've never been the same since that day. i could always get a new Rotring 600, but i could never get a new her. in essence, she therefore must be my katherine. something who breaks me in such a way that i could not possibly fix it.
