i'm not gonna go two ways about this: if you want a mechanical pencil, buy a tombow mono graph. it's the best bang for your buck, it's perfect, does everything you need.

i bought this at strasbourg, alongisde the lamy safari, for about 5 bucks. i bought the 7mm version cuz i was a dumbass, sorry. i don't have much to say about it, it's just solid. it has a comfortable weight, on the heavier side for cheap plastic pencils, it writes great, i couldn't feel the tip wobble, the eraser is nice and long (you can twist the other end of the pencil to make it come up, it's actually extremely fun to do, thumbs up for that), it comes in tons of very nice colors (i got mine in yellow), and there lots of variants that have a similar cost but look different. i only got the regular model so i can't talk about the others.

no, my biggest issue with this one is the lead pusher system. oh my god the lead pushing. so basically, this thing has a "shake to push" feature, right? you shake the pencil to have more lead. but mine doesn't work? i don't know if it's because i broke it, or if it came like that or something.. but it doesn't (yes, i did try pressing lead lock, if anyone was curious), but  anyways it just does not work. but the pen is still rattling like CRAZY. even during lead lock which,  by the way, disables lead pushing entirely cuz the lead button is a switch, which means that everytime you want lead you have to go down for lead push, then back up again manually, it's really tedious. so i have a rattly pen that doesn't even function for the even it was made rattly. it is SO irritating.
